The wait is finally over, and we’re pleased to announce the launch of Gay Fighter Supreme, the world’s first gay fighting video game by Handsome Women Productions, in collaboration with Bearded Man Studios.
In the same vein as successful and long running franchises like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, the game, which uses rainbows and unicorns instead of blood and gore, has ten LGBT fighters, such as GoGo Gary the gogo boy who lives his life by three principles: Gymming, Tanning and Fighting, Devon Devastation, the Voguer that moves like Madonna but will cut you like her plastic surgeon with his cruel insults, sassy Houston drag queen Carrie Cupcake, who whips her opponents with her wig and feather boa and Timmy Spears, a cold-blooded vigilante twink who loves lip gloss, Britney, his dog Paris and his Louis Vuitton bag.
“The idea for Gay Fighter Supreme arose from banter between friends discussing our mutual love for 90’s fighting games,” says Michael Patrick, the game’s founder and creator. “The characters are all influenced by dated jokes, pop culture icons, and camp. We wanted it to be like a pride parade gone rogue”. “The game is intended to be irreverent, satirical, fun spirited and ironic”, says Melchor Cardenas, the game’s co-creator. “Anyone who mistakenly views the game as offensive or feels it perpetuates gay stereotypes is missing the point… It’s pure satire. We don’t mean to offend anyone. If it does offend someone, we hope it inspires them to create a fun queer themed game of their own.”
The game’s ten LGBT fighters are all competing to win the title of Gay Fight Champion. However, little do they know that there’s something ominous about the competition. The League of Oppressive Self-Righteous Zealots (LOSRZ), a group whose aim is to wipe out the LGBT community by brainwashing its members and transforming them into gay hating cyborgs, are actually behind the tournament, and they’ve created it for two reasons: to make the LGBT community destroy itself and to brainwash the winner to carry out the League’s nefarious plans! Gay Fighter Supreme is available for purchase now on iTunes, Windows and Google Play.
But we’ve got one free download to give away to one lucky reader. To be in with a chance of winning it tell us who your ultimate Gay Fighter Supreme character would be and what his or her unique fighting style or special move would be… Email your entry to [email protected] with Gay Fighter Competition in the subject field by midnight on Tuesday June 30th 2015 when we’ll choose the best entry.
