Now almost seven years old, South London club Fitladz has built up a loyal following and is known as an ‘entry level’ cruise club for younger guys.
Still very sexy and horny with a warm and friendly vibe, Fitladz is similar to continental style cruise clubs where the dance area is very much separate to the darkroom. In fact, Fitladz is the kind of place where lads can take a girl along and feel safe leaving them on their own while they wander off and check out the club’s large darkroom and the newly installed cruise cabins.
Music plays a key role at Fitladz with top DJs like Steven Geller, PJay, Sven Jon, Eduardo Herrera and Abstar playing funky tech house.
QXMEN CAUGHT UP WITH PROMOTER STEVE DARRAGH AND GOT THE LOW DOWN ON THE CLUB…
QXMEN: Hi Steve. So, in your opinion, what makes a Fitlad?
Steve: I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a chav or scally type lad in grey trackies usually gets my eyes beholding!
QXMEN: What makes the club special?
Steve: The people that go mainly – very friendly and sociable. The music is quite unique to Fitladz too, being groovy tech house.
QXMEN: What sort of guys go to FitLadz?
Steve: All types, although the core is 20s to 30s.
QXMEN: What’s the most outrageous thing you’ve seen in the club?
Steve: Erm, no comment… Although the Mr Deepthroat competition we held threw up a few surprises! LOL
QXMEN: Is it true that lads get in free if their cock is 8 inches or longer? (If so, are there any vacancies for door staff?)
STEVE: We used to do that until too many ladz, who must have been growers not showers, started trying to get in…. That’s not to say we will not do it again!
QXMEN: What plans have you got for the club this summer?
Steve: We plan to bring back the Mr Deepthroat compo and Mr Fitladz Tattoo contest… But really the best plans are written on the night and no one knows what they will be!
• Fitladz is on every Friday from 10pm through to 8am. Entry’s £6 for members or £8 (membership is available on the door). There’s also a Fitladz on Sundays too from 10pm til 2am, with an amateur strip contest, hosted by Stevie B, where the winner gets £100! It’s just a fiver to get in on Sundays and free for members!
