QXMEN: Hey Steve. It’s been a while since we last caught up… What have you been up to the last few months.
Steve Darragh: We’ve been busy at Barcode working on improvements. The venue itself would’ve undergone some major changes and additions by the time you read this. Please come and check out the changes. Fitladz has gone from strength to strength. We’ll also be holding our latest competition – The Mr Big Willy Contest – by the time you read this. Fitladz are constantly coming up with ideas, which make us the most exciting and biggest cruise club in the UK!
We’ve heard you recently travelled to Columbia. What’s the scene like out there?
Hmmm, enjoyable, but musically not quite there yet. It does have a progressive gay rights movement and quite a large healthy gay scene… No cruise clubs though!
Are you planning to bring anything that you’ve seen or heard over there back to Fitladz?
No… If anything the reverse!
So, were there many ‘fit ladz’ in Columbia?
Oh yeeeees! It’s a very young gay country. By that I mean, whereas in London you see a wide range of ages, men from their teens to their… well sixties, in Bogotá it’s mainly under 30’s.
Can you tell us a bit about your new night Vibe?
Vibe started because a good friend of mine called Paul Warden coerced me into going out on the ‘Urban’ scene. I really liked the music and decided to launch Vibe. He’s helping me promote the party as he has all the insider info of what’s hot and who’s hot, etc, etc…
With Christmas fast approaching, what’s Fitladz got in store for the festive season?
Every week is like Christmas, so apart from sparing a thought for Jesus and lots of stuffing it’s business as usual.
Anything in the pipeline for 2014?
At the moment we’re talking to several countries who want Fitladz but we’ll still continue to provide the best space here for sexy ladz to meet other fit ladz, listen to great music and generally relax in the unbeatable atmosphere!
Finally Steve, as this is QXMEN Magazine, who’s your favourite porn star, and why?
Well it’s documented that Matt Hughes makes my eyes water, but recently I’ve discovered a new one. Trouble is he is only available on my iPhone at the moment
